The Southern Zone Rock Lobster Season opens on 1 October each year and generally closes on 30 April.
Luckily for our visitors, local exporter at Sky Seafoods on Robe Street keeps lobsters in live tanks for Robe’s restaurants beyond the season’s closure.
We also recommend you try some gummy or school shark, caught locally from our shark fishermen. Other scale fish caught locally include borefish, queen snapper and flathead.
If all else fails and you are unsure where to eat – please do not hesitate to ask a local!
